Annie Trousseau features performer Ana Maria Lombo, who was once one-fifth of pop group Eden's Crush, which was created on reality TV Popstars, which aired in spring of 2001 on the now-defunct WB Network. Eden's Crush disbanded after just one album together when their label London-Sire folded. "La vie en rose" is a song, originally in French, sung by French chanteuse Edith Piaf in 1945. The song was written by Louis Guglielmi and Marguerite Monnot. The lyrics of the song are about being in love and how the emotions of falling in love can make everything seem brighter, more beautiful. The singer is describing the man she loves and how he makes her feel as if everything in life is wonderful.
The first verse talks about the man the singer is in love with. She describes his eyes, which make her own eyes lower in their gaze, and a laughter that disappears into his mouth, as a true portrayal of the man she belongs to.
