The famous "Anorak City" flexi was a scratchy scene anthem celebrating the siren allure of indie-trainspotterdom. "You Should All Be Murdered" was indie pop's somewhat Smiths-esque answer to Harry Secombe's "If I Ruled The World". And then came perhaps the most "Sarah in a nutshell" single of them all, a heady collision of obsessive-romanticism, gorgeous twelve-string shimmer and just the right redemptive twinkle of knowing irony: "I'm In Love With A Girl Who Doesn't Know I Exist". "So I'll just lie and dream of the chances I've missed..."
All these singles are collected onto the London Weekend compilation. Harvey later went on to record several albums under his own name.

I tried to make you love me
I told you that I loved you
Then asked you if you loved me
And although you said no
There's still something inside me
That trembles when I hear your name
You're still the only girl for me
And now
You still don't want to know
If you still don't want to know
Where does this leave me?
And now
He wants you to love him
If you say that you love him
Where does this leave me?
Where does this leave me?
I know I should forget
But I just can't forget you
I know it's all so pointless
But honestly I love you
Perhaps I should admit
That he'd be better for you
But I could never say that
Because it's simply not true
And now
You still don't want to know
If you still don't want to know
Where does this leave me?
And now
He wants you to love him
If you say that you love him
Where does this leave me?
Where does this leave me?
The lyrics of Another Sunny Day's song "Rio" delve into the lingering feelings of a failed romance. The singer admits that even though they tried to make the object of their affection love them, it didn't work out. However, there is still a part of them that feels something when they hear the person's name. They also acknowledge that someone else wants to be with their former love interest and that if they were to be together, it would leave the singer in a state of uncertainty.
The lyrics are melancholic and paint a picture of unrequited love. The singer knows they should move on and forget their former love, but they reveal that they simply can't forget them. The admission of their feelings shows vulnerability, and the line "honestly I love you" makes it clear that this sentiment is genuine. The singer is torn between acknowledging that the other person might be better for their former love interest, but unable to say it out loud. The song ends with the repetition of the same lines, emphasizing the confusion and uncertainty that the singer feels.
Overall, "Rio" captures the emotional struggle of letting go of someone you love and the pain of watching them move on with someone else. It's a heartbreaking yet relatable theme that many people can identify with.

You replied in the negative
There's still something inside me

You're still the only girl for me
You are the only one I desire
And now
At present time
You still don't want to know
You are still not interested in me
