He started singing on the professionally at the age of 4. After completing secondary school #164 he continued his higher education at Tbilisi Art Academy specializing in singing. He was growing in the family of musicians. His mother, Rusudan Chkhaidze is the composer. Anri is rich with sisters and brothers - They are three from the mother's side and five - from the father's.
In 1998, he participated in the international contest of the Ukrainian song and won. 1999 was very productive for him Slavianski Bazar in Vitebsk, Kiev 99, Zolotoi Shliager 99. After a year in Vladikavkaz on Raduga Kavkaza he won the Grand Prize and this was his first serious achievement. After three years in Varna 2003 he again won the Grand Prize. In 2004 at Golden Stag 2004 he won the second place, in August of the same year he returned with a Grand Prize from the festival Astana In 2005- He successfully participated at Shanhai International festival and returned with a prize.
