The project began as a solo effort by Graham in collaboration with Powell. After deciding that the songs they had written would be better suited for a group, they joined with Grimm and former member Kyle Kupecky and released their first EP as a group under the name Yellow Cavalier. After changing their name to Anthem Lights, the band eventually signed with Reunion Records, and, on May 11, 2011, released their self-titled debut album, including the lead single Can't Shut Up . Just recently, Kupecky announced his departure from the band, as he felt God leading him to work on a solo project. Anthem Lights' newest member, Joey Stamper, has taken his place.

I typed "can't get over you" into the search bar, hoping I would find some songs that would describe my situation. Songs that mentioned how someone can't get over someone that they once thought they loved. Instead I found this. I can't describe how much God has spoken to me with this song. I realize that it's not about sitting there listening to songs that will remind you of the past and make you wanna hold on to the past. It's about holding on to His hand and letting Him pull you out of your sorrows. It's about falling deeply in love with someone that will never let you down. Someone that loves you more than you've ever loved yourself and more than anyone else has ever loved you. It's falling in love with the person that gives you unconditional love, the type of love that you just can't get over, that you never want to let go of. God is that person.

I don't wanna ask for anything, just wanna let y'all know that you're one of my biggest inspirations ever. Your one song, "Can't Get Over You", was one of the songs that got me out when I was contemplating suicide. It was a reminder of God's love and how I could get out of this whole mess of self harm and self hatred that I had. When I was stuck in a rehab for a week and I lost everything that had meaning to me, I heard this song. It slowly started a change in me and now I'm living for God completely and though things are still hard I'm never gonna forget God's love again. I just wanna thank you guys so much for everything you're doing, and I hope you never stop. God bless!!!

This song has always been a major part of my life. Thanks to Karen Kingsbury, I found it. This song has always given me such strength to hold onto during the last 4 years of my life. I lost 3 sisters and a brother, when they decided to kick my parents to the curb and toss their faith away as well. Watching my parent's in agony was hard on me. It's been hard fighting feelings of hate towards them, especially when you see your mother crying for over a month. Or have had to deal with social services or the police because they filed fake charges just to try to break up the family. My youngest sister has run away multiple times, influenced by one of my sister's who took off, and she has suicidal issues as well. Every day with her is a spiritual as well as an emotional struggle. She seems to improve, but then she slips back into the darkness. When times get hard, I put this song on and it's like a clear breeze blowing through the dark haze of the moment and I can hear Him. Thank you so much!

I wish they had a love button! I just found you guys at the end of 2013. God brought me this song at just the right time. I was at a low point in my life, but when I heard this song, it woke me up to everything God has done for me, and what he will continue to do.
