@Nick Noble Jonathan Davis (Korn's singer) wrote all of the songs performed by The Vampire Lestat in Queen of the Damned. He also sang the songs as Lestat's voice in the movie, but from my understanding, due to record label issues, he wasn't able to appear on the sound track album. He got his other rock/metal friends to perform the song for the soundtrack. David Draiman sang Forsaken for the soundtrack. To me, each version sounds very distinct because they both have pretty unique styles/voices. To me, this definitely falls in the Dariman style, not the Davis style. This sounds a lot like something that would have been on Disturbed's first or second album.

It still happens quite often, I know of plenty metal bands who have covered pop songs (new and old) in their own style and this often quite interesting: two of my favorites are "Shadow on the Wall" covered by Arch Enemy (The original was by Mike Oldfield) and "La Isla Bonita" covered by Twilight Guardians (The original was by Madonna) but there are several other examples I could give. Also quite interesting, although the stretch was less spectacular, was Powerwolf's Communio Lupatum, where other metal bands, with different styles than theirs, covered one of their songs. Fantastic cover album...

Love it! Disturbed has been my favorite for as long as I can remember, you really nailed their sound. This is really reminiscent of some tracks on Asylum, maybe Believe too. Anyway, really fun cover!

Nice! Awesome stuff. Love the dry humor. Like the fake fire on the boat lol, the outfits, but still taking the music very seriously and knowing your stuff. @Doug Smithart - Ten Seconds has done a phenomenal job in the past, I'm not denying that. But personally I feel like he phoned this one in, like he's not into it. I rather he covers songs in styles that he's into then to just phone it in for the sake of the audience. And plus, it's very hard for me as a die-hard Disturbed fan to see 10 Seconds cover of George Michael song and their Style, and not replace his performance with a mental image of how David Draiman would have done it.
