As a hardcore Type O Negative fan, I'm a little disappointed by all the people who are disappointed because they didn't get the style they wanted . Frankly Type O Negative to me is a totally underrated band and it gives me joy when they get recognition. I recommend everybody check them out, because they are absolutely fantastic and there will never be another band like them. Also, Anthony I think you did a really good job and Pete would be flattered by this. Keep on rocking, brother.

I agree. He got so many of the little quirks of Type O. Not just the deep voice, but the rolled R's, the intake of breath, the down tuned guitars and fuzz bass, the keyboard sounds. I think it's perfect. He even got the tone of Peter Steele's low voice and "upper voice" pretty well. Even the "Whoa!" at 3:08 is typical Type O. Awesome job, absolutely amazing!

I've actually never heard of 21 pilots, but I've been a tremendous fan of Type O for well over 20 years. Peter was always a doll to me every time we met up/ran into each other etc. I miss him, that wit, and seeing the band perform live so terribly much. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and though you may not have Pete's voice (who does???), you definitely captured the atmosphere, phrasing, and general sound. Props on getting the tone of Kenny's backing vocals. Much love ❤️

Pete was a cool guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times, including one night at the Log Cabin in Sheepshead Bay, when he sang Back in the USSR during the nightly karaoke festivities.

This sounded alot like "Who will save save the sane?" i vastly approve. You got everything right except the voice. I'm a baritone and even I have a hard time getting near Peter's level. He is extremely hard to emmulate vocal wise. Stereotype O Negative is close.

you could use subharmonic bass. Given you're a tenor, down to around C2/B1(baritones can usually get to around G1 with it) you'll sound much more like steele, it's a common bass technique

I stated in my description I did the best I could, this song has a lower key than the dark horse cover I did. Which forced me to go lower, at times I had difficulty since I'm a tenor. Stereotype o negative is cool, I like what I've heard.

This makes me miss Peter again. Perfect day to release this song though, I remember seeing Type O in Philly for Halloween on many occasions. This reminds me a lot of Christian Woman, Anesthesia, and Red Water (Christmas Mourning) at various parts.

I saw them in Philly at the Troc on Halloween many years in a row in the late 90's, early 00's. Those were the best shows. Last time I saw them perform live was on Halloween 2007 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.

Fantastic. You capture some key parts of their sound.

Man, I miss Type O. Saw them when they were coming up at a very small club in Baltimore. Peter walked through a mosh pit and climbed on stage, like it was nothing. I also remember at another show he mocked Danzig, fuck that hobbit-hooker. Good times.
