Picture this. It’s mid summer, 2004 and I’ve been listening to the End of Heartache so much that my CD has already started to skip at random songs because of the scratches from my Walkman. I’m sitting on a bench at 7pm at the park by my house. As “Hope is...” ends Numb begins to play. I think to myself, I haven’t heard this song before, it must be a bonus track. I take it in as I stare towards the summer leaves, slow dancing with the breeze, admiring how gold the sun makes everything look at this time of day. I sit and contemplate my life, my dreams, and how I don’t want to go back to school in a couple of weeks.

That was amazing. I don't know if you remember me, probably not but I was the guy who criticized your mixing a couple of years back. I was rather harsh back then, I shouldn't have been. Your progress is great. The singing is top notch and the mixing is really good too. Just overall great work!

I’ve never thought anyone could even come close to mimicking Howard’s voice. Listening to this was like Howard and Adam together.. It was crazily close. Very well done.

ETA : Coming back to watch this again, and I just wanted to add that I would do some seriously bad things to see this performed live. This hits me so hard in so many ways. It’s amazing.

@GIFclips&vids That may be so, but Chester was the vocalist for 20 years or more, so when people think of Linkin Park, they think of him as the frontman. Whomever they get to replace him, no matter how talented they may be, will always be compared to him. Case in point: look and William Duvall and Layne Staley in Alice in Chains. People have talked about a greater variety in the themes in the songs (although that could be because the core of the band is in their mid-50s and has experienced more stuff as opposed to when they 1st started) and how the harmony between the two vocalists that AIC is so well known for is still there, but Duvall cannot match Staley's charisma and vocal power.

Jesse will always be my personal favorite. I got in to them back when AOJB came out. It was a pivotal album at an influential time for me. Howard is phenomenal and helped take them to new heights but I’m so glad Jesse is back

@The Gaming Paladin That's the problem tho. When you are endangered you don't have the power to "find" someone. You pray for someone to come and help you but while you weren't at the edge of suicide you seem very normal to your surroundings and it is extremely hard for normal people to feel that subtle difference that may occur from one day to another.
If you ever get a hint that someone might be truly depressed (and you will notice one way or another, not going outside anymore, stuck in bed, feeling sick for weeks without the usual symptoms, for example coughing etc.)
go out of your way to see that person.
If you care about him/her you must insist to see them and stand by their side.
It's the small things that make the worlds difference here.

I keep listening to it and this just gives a whole new feel to the original !!! The original one is like the guy or girl singing it feels like he or she has to try only a little for the other person to feel or listen to them although they are broken...
This one feels like the singer has had enough of the abuse and he won't take it anymore ! He wants to be heard and he tries to be !!!!!!
