I come back to this Kyrie, from time to time. What a beautiful and well sung piece. Thank you Roberto.

Oh--wow. I have never heard this music sung this slowly and beautifully. Wonderful!

This is such a beautiful piece...I was able to compose such a lovely poem as I was transported with this on the Metro this afternoon...very nice!

I love it! Valeri Polyansky is the conductor with the Russian State Symphonic Cappella and Russian State Symphony Orchestra. :-)

I believe the effect comes from Polyansky and the Russian State Symphonic Orchestra truly respecting Bruckner's deeply felt expressions of religious devotion.. When Bruckner's music is allowed full scope for this, it is indeed extremely powerful and moving. And it is so much more convincing and expressive than the towering monuments to his Wagner devotion, the empty symphonic cathedrals where his beautiful but small prayers are lost in the echoing shadowy vastness of symphony after elaborate symphony.
