The song Insensatez is a poignant lament about the pain caused by thoughtless actions of a lover. The opening lines “A insensatez Que você fez Coração mais sem cuidado” (The heedless thing that you did, Heart more carelessly) convey both the singer’s bafflement and deep-seated hurt. The lover’s careless disregard for their partner’s feelings caused a love that was delicate and precious to turn into tears of pain. The singer implores the lover, “Ah, porque você foi fraco assim Assim tão desalmado” (Ah, why were you so weak, So soulless). The sense of betrayal is palpable when the singer says, “Quem nunca amou Não merece ser amado” (Whoever has never loved, Does not deserve to be loved).

The singer then shifts the focus to offer advice to a broken heart, “Vai meu coração, Ouve a razão, Usa só sinceridade” (Go my heart, Listen to reason, Be sincere only). The lyrics advise the heart to be truthful in its actions and to avoid recklessness. However, at the same time, it warns against being vengeful by cautioning, “Quem semeia vento, diz a razão, Colhe sempre tempestade” (Whoever sows the wind, the reason says, Always reaps a storm). Ultimately, the singer urges the heart to seek forgiveness because, “Vai, porque quem não Pede perdão Não é nunca perdoado” (Go, because whoever does not Ask for forgiveness Is never forgiven).
