My husband threatens to murder me every time I make a stupid pun. If I go missing after tonight you’ll know I showed him this and made my “pun face” at him and he finally snapped. No court could in good conscience actually convict him, though. Especially if his lawyers have evidence of the stupid portmanteaus I also torture him with at every opportunity 😂😂🤣

There's an old joke about a polar bear that has overheating car problems in the desert and takes his car into a local garage. Exactly. Same here. Was 10 years old and somehow managed to buy this record. Dont recall how. Used to tape record the Dr. Demento radio show. Can still sing the songs. Cow Patty, Star Trekking, The Frantics, some parody of John Wayne I vaguely remember and of course Ray Stevens. Problem was how late it was on a Sunday night. Terrible way for a kid to start the school week tired! But going to bed earlier meant missing the show and taping it with the sound turned down meant the alarm couldn't go off. (just use another alarm source it occurs to me a hundred years later!) Oh the days of limited options and technology! To this day few road trips are made without The Frantics albums as part of the entertainment options. Mr. Muldoon's Last Will and Temperament
and Ti Kwon Leap and a Boot to the Head. Eternal classics. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 🙂

o.k., I used to have the full-length record that had this song on it... The Comedian of the United States (I initially had remembered it wrong, as I thought I had remembered the title being, The State of the Humor Address). I've always loved this song, but until just a few minutes ago, I never even knew there was an accompanying video for it. I remember still the first time I heard this song, mom was driving me and my sister to school one morning, cause we had missed the bus, and this song came on the radio. I was immediately hooked! quite a humorous, and very unique song. absolutely love the video!
