Soy enterraor y vengo
Soy enterraror y vengo
Soy enterraror y vengo ay
De enterrar mi corazón.
In Antonio Molina's song "La hija de Juan Simón," the singer shares the story of his past experiences. He was once in prison, and upon his release, he felt lost and alone. The person he loved, the daughter of Juan Simón, died of sadness for him, knowing that he was the cause of her suffering. The singer regrets his actions and acknowledges that the woman he loved was good and undeserving of the suffering she went through. The ultimate tragedy of the story is that he cannot make it right or bring her back.
The second part of the song describes the burial of Juan Simón's daughter. Juan Simón is the only funeral director in the village, so he buried his own daughter himself. The heartbreaking image of a father burying his child is emphasized by his murmuring prayers as he dug her grave. The singer's friends ask him where he has been and he tells them he has been burying his heart. This could have a double meaning, indicating not only the singer's own feelings of remorse but the fact that Juan Simón has literally buried his heart with his daughter.

Y el enjuagando sus ojos
contestaba a media voz:
soy enterrador y vengo
