Extraordinaria voz la de Antonio Prieto, gran intérprete del bolero junto a Lucho Gatica (ambos chilenos) y otros muchos intérpretes cubanos y caribeños cuya lista sería interminable (Benny Moré, Ibrahim Ferrer, Machín, Cheo Feliciano, Bobby Valentín...), Entre los argentinos cabe destacar al gran Chico Novarro y entre los españoles no podemos olvidar entre a otros a Moncho "el rey del bolero" y hoy en día cabe mencionar a la multifacética Concha Buika, sobre todo en un disco que hizo con Chucho Valdés.
