He entered onto the scene in the early 1990s, being the first rural bachatero to reach a mainstream audience with his hit "Voy pa'lla", shortly after Blas Durán had appropriated the electric guitar for the genre. Santos' adoption of soft romantic lyrics was more socially accepted than the bawdy cabaret style common to bachata before him, and he shortly became the genre's leading artist, helping move bachata into the Caribbean Latino mainstream.
Antony Santos is currently the best paid bachatero in the Dominican Republic. He has already signed the contract to offer a concert in Puerto Rico at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum, a venue with a seating capacity of 10,000 people. This concert was on May 12, 2007 and he's said to have been paid an unprecedented US$90,000 for this one presentation alone.

Antony santos
Domingo
Voy pa'lla
Voy a buscar
La mujer que me domina
La traere
Aunque el mundo me lo infida
Bendita se
Todo las mujeres
India, blanca, y morena
Que con su voz
Y su color
Acen que yo me muera
Voy pa'lla
Aunque llueva
O aunque se unda la tierra
Yo llegare
Y la besare
Aunque peleo con qualquiera
Eso mio!
Porque te fuiste
Y me dejaste
Si soy el macho de tu vida mami
No soy culpable
De que esa boda
La enpidiera tu familia
Voy pa'lla
Aunque haiga candel
Porque se que tu me quiera mami
Yo soy el hombre que te enseño a querer
Y te hizo sentir mujer
Ayi que nadie me hable contra ella
(Que voy pa'lla)
Desque me gusta esa mujer
(Que voy pa'lla)
Amigo mio si la veo
Digale
Digale
Digale
(Que voy pa'lla)
Digale
Digale
Digale
(Que voy pa'lla)
Mami mami abre la ventana
(Que voy pa'lla)
Mami mami abre la persiana
(Que voy pa'lla)
Y conteme bien ponteme bien
(Que voy pa'lla)
Aahh dada... ladada
(Que voy pa'lla)
Ladada... aahh dada
(Que voy pa'lla)
Aahh dada... nadada
(Que voy pa'lla)
The song "Voy Pa'lla" by Antony Santos is a love song that expresses the desire of the singer to find and be with his true love, no matter what obstacles lie in his path. The lyrics start with the singer's declaration that he is going back to where he came from, perhaps implying that he has been searching for his true love for a long time and is finally returning to the place where he first met her. He then asserts that he is going to find the woman who dominates him, the one who can make him feel that he is truly alive.
The singer goes on to express his admiration for all women, regardless of their color or ethnicity, because they all possess the power to make him feel alive. He then reiterates his determination to find his true love, even if he has to face any resistance, such as bad weather or opposition from others. The singer seems to be frustrated that his love has been taken away from him by external factors beyond his control, such as the interference of her family in their relationship.
In conclusion, "Voy Pa'lla" is a song that speaks to the heart, expressing the deep yearning and longing for true love that many people can relate to. It is a reminder that love is powerful and can transcend all boundaries, regardless of race, ethnicity, or class.
