rone nahi diya
daman ne bhi tere gam ne
bhigone nahi diya
tanhaieya tumhara pata puchhati rahi
shab bhar tumhari yaad ne
sone nahi diya
daman bhi tere gam ne bhigone nahi diya
askoi lehar
palko pe koi kwab pirone nahi diya
The lyrics of Pathar Bana Diya by Anup Jalota are a reflection of the pain and emotional turmoil caused by a relationship gone wrong. The singer is addressing his former lover, accusing her of turning him into stone and not allowing him to cry or express his emotions. The pain inflicted by her has left him in a state of perpetual loneliness, as her memory haunts him even in his dreams. The singer also notes how even though he has been through so much, he still hasn't been able to forget her and move on, which is illustrated through the use of metaphors such as "daman bhi tere gam ne bhigone nahi diya" (Even your sorrow didn't let go of the grip on me).
