Even in your worst fears of fear itself (and that's really what it is right? the fear that the fear won't go away?)
Imagine the worst case scenario, don't run from it and then it will lessen it.
Hand it over to the Holy Spirit's hands entirely.
I once spent a couple of years with crushing darkness, obsessive thoughts & such deep fear that I felt paralyzed inside.
It was free floating, but mostly there all the time.
I confess that some ssri's did eventually lift it a bit along with therapy, but in that time before that I read the most insightful book
I've ever come across.
It was not a self help book, but more of a philosophy about when we experience the darkest depths of the soul.
What helped me immensely with the book was that instead of it telling you what to do to "fix" it, it talked about the
psychological reasons those periods can have meaning & how to look at it when it's happening.
It demystified it to a great degree & instead of focusing on the fear I started focusing on the lessons & growth within in, sort of.
It's hard to explain, but if you want to at least maybe read excerpts online (they probably are online somewhere, it's called
"Care of the soul" by Thomas Moore.
It isn't new age btw, I loathe that sort of gobbledygook feel good stuff, it isn't that at all.
The writer was if I remember correctly; once a monk & a theologian with human behavior background.

Pray for me please. So much anxiety and depression fear. So alone. 17 months since john passed away. Together 21 years. I miss him. No family here to comfort me. Thank you.. update April 2023. Had to move in with sister in another state. My life turned upside down and I am having to depend on sister for everything. No car. No freedom. I am trying. Miss John so much. . Pray every day for a breakthrough. Thank you everyone for caring. ♥️🙏 update july .. sister wants me to go back to my home state. Didnt work out living with them! I am moving in September. Will be back in same boat. No car. Getting furnished apt. And will be short with money. What a mess. Prayers much needed.
