He is affiliated to S inc. company and becomes a seiyuu since February year of 2011.

He voices Mikaze Ai in the Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ series, which has also made him popular. Before debuting as an Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ series' Voice Actor, he had some jobs together with Elements Garden (Especially with Nakayama Masato in anime Kimi to Boku). He even did a backing vocal for Ittoki Otoya's Character Song in 2011.

His voice is very feminine, which he had a complex about,but he got used to it because people like this kind of unique voice. His voice has been marked as "Angel's Voice"

Shoutan's voice is a little feminine so it's not so hard for him to get to the high notes. He can also high sing 😊 when he was a teenager he sang a song 1000 no Kotoba from Koda Kumi, try to find this video. You'll see he already had a pure beautiful voice 😊

Aye many of my friends also think they look alike www but for me, personally in voice range, Aoi Shouta is stronger and wider. I heard his voice is 3 Octaves too.
Personally, to me Shoutan's voice is stronger because one of his longest high note is 40+ seconds which is amazing!

eh... I like male chara to sound more like men. when they speak English, it becomes even more obvious if an older teen or adult is voiced by a woman. Hell, our female chara are usually a lower tone than JP female chara too. there's exceptions, but culture plays a big part in localizing something, and I appreciate appropriate changes. there is a lot to learn from JP seiyuu culture, but over there it's tied into idol culture, and we don't do that with VAs. it's sort of getting there with VAs doing streams. sort of.
