Origames Over
Apanhador Só Lyrics

as cores das cordas de um violão,
recortar e colar.
Que é pra cantar
meninas
pintar
esquinas
origames over.
recolar e cortar.
Que é pra cantar
meninas
pintar
esquinas
dobrar
origames over.
The song "Origames Over" by Apanhador Só is a whimsical and dreamlike ode to creativity and imagination. The lyrics express a longing to understand the colors and chords of a guitar, to be able to cut and paste them together like a collage. The end result is a desire to sing to and paint the world, to fold it up like an origami creation, and to love with a sense of freedom and impermanence.
The first verse of the song speaks to the desire to create something new and beautiful. The singer longs to put together a series of chords that capture the essence of color and life, to cut and paste them into a collage that expresses something profound and meaningful. The second verse speaks to the transience of love - the singer acknowledges that sometimes love is fleeting, like a small harvest, and yet there is still value in searching for it and collecting the remnants, like the scraps of wood shaved from a guitar. The chorus reinforces the theme of creativity, urging the listener to sing, paint, and fold the world up like an origami creation.
Overall, "Origames Over" suggests a profound appreciation for the beauty and complexity of life, and a desire to capture and express that beauty through art and music. It is a richly imaginative and evocative song that invites its listeners to join in the sense of wonder and playfulness that animates its lyrics.
