towards the button while at the same time thinking to myself,
"Pssh, you don't have to tell me twice GlaDOS...um...kind of freaking me out
staring at me with that robotic eye!" XD

GlaDOS: Don't press that button, you don't know what you're doing.

Wheatley: I think She's lying.

(Probably, wouldn't be the first time, I mean she'd lied about the cake)

I Keep running, closing in on the button, time is running out...
along with my patient for listening to GlaDOS go on go about...
who knows what at this point because I kind of tuned her out.

"Think about this. You need to be a trained stalemate associate to press that button, you're unqualified.
(So now I have to be "trained" just to push this button, how does that work out,
I need to go through special training to know how to push a button with my hand??)

I managed to pass the stupid protective wall GlaDOS sent up with ease and now the button is right in front of me, all I have to do now is just press it.

"Impersonating a statement associate. I just added that to the list. It's a list I've made of all--
(Oh my god......does GlaDOS ever stop talking!?)

--"Because you're still doing things right now, even though I am telling you to stop. Stop, by the way--
(You know what I'm just gonna....pretend I don't hear you, LET'S DO THIS!!)

I Finally press button like a boss and feel pretty please with myself as I watch GlaDOS being turned off....
but not much time passes afterward when I instantly regret my choice ten minutes later when Wheatley's in change and tries to kill me by sending down a long rabbit hole.
And the last thing I hear of course is more GlaDOS as I fall down to my doom.
[insert sarcastic clap here]

This track is one of my favourites, mainly because it slowly introduces Wheatley's motifs into it and shows the struggle between GLaDOS and Wheatley as they persuade Chell to press/not press the button. At the climax of Wheatley's battle, the second half of this track is now the opposite, where Wheatley's motifs and the Central Core's both predominate GLaDOS' as she persuades Chell to press the button.

I don't know if anyone's noticed this before, but Rattman's deranged rantings that you can hear in the secret rooms in test chambers 5 and 17 actually are in perfect tune to this song. A bit eerie

Rattman is likely still alive. He went into a temporary relaxation vault to rest due to a bullet wound, and the reserve power plot point only talked about the more permanent status. Also we dont know the time gap, but it probably wasn't that long even considering the dilapidation, since that occurred close to the surface (you can see natural light). Its probably just that the facility wasn't built to last, as nano bots would repair constantly

Or when you press the button: "WAIT WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT BUTTON-- oh, the door's open." from Chapter 5. at around 0:50, when the random noises starts, listen carefully imagine yourself to be in glados situation, with someone doing something you don't want him to do but you're unable to stop it happening focuse on the thoughts going trought your mind it sound very similar, like if you were hearing what glados is thinking
