This is such a weird and trippy track, and it's awesome. I love the genuinely mechanical and glitchy feel the composer went for when composing the soundtrack; it's unlike anything I've heard from other games (especially of the sci-fi, dystopian variety).

"feed1" from "elseq 1" is a tune I've heard many times now, it's on another level. Portal 2 has a load of dynamic music. Test elements emit different layers.
For example, wall-based laser receivers do synths when powered, the floor-based laser receivers do little doodly-doodly-doodly noises, repulsion and propulsion gel fade in/out a variation of the level's track when you're bouncing/speeding, the companion cube in Test Chamber 07 plays a quiet synth cover of Cara Mia when nearby, Faith Plates do that discordant sort of noise music you hear at the beginning of this track while you're mid-launch...

IIRC, the reason quite a few of the songs are like this is because these are the combined sounds of the testing elements in the chamber that they appear in.
in this case, it's the: Panel that holds up the regular cube, and the thermal discouragement beam catchers when they are activated.
