Was at a 'free party' in the UK countryside in 1993 they were playing Belgian style hard techno and this came on, whole place erupted into a mad dance frenzy, can't remember what else they played that night, but the next day my head was still vibrating to this tune lol 😎

1992 one of the best years of my life......aged 18......luvd so many underground styles of music at the time from hip hop through to early breakbeat hardcore,techno and the evolving jungle/D&B that came out of that particular time period. Truly wonderful times and the music was just constantly evolving,experimenting,expanding and pushing new boundaries utilising modern technology much of it very basic and in either bedrooms or very small studios,on small independent recold labels and played via pirate radio.......no tinternet or you tube back then!!!

I've always noticed that he puts a hard/fast layer up front, and a soft/slow layer mixed in behind, in much of his tracks. Really intense juxtapozition of sounds and moods. At the other extreme, he will put both kinds of tracks on the same album, one nice, one mean, in sequence. Really effective way to play with the listener's emotions. Early on it confused me, but I've come to crave it. It's a really extreme form of dynamics that a lot of artists don't have, but some of the best ones do.

Some good friends held a rave in Cornwall early 90’s. A young Aphex came and experienced a rad night of friends mixing accompanied by another friend playing the didgeridoo instead of a horrible MC. The rest is history.
