Before their unfortunate demise, Apocalypse Hoboken toured with the likes of The Vandals, The Ataris, Ten Foot Pole, Less Than Jake, Swingin' Utters, Agent Orange, Guttermouth, Strung Out, Bigwig, Suicide Machines, At the Drive In, Murder City Devils, and appeared on West Coast dates of the Warped Tour.
Their last show in 2003 sold out Chicago's Metro, and though they haven't recorded a shred of new music in five years, demand for their live act has never been greater. A reunion at the Abbey Pub with all-original members promises to be a highlight of 2006.

and lost a lot of weight
He didn't have a job or a car
He didn't want to wait
Made a little extra cash sucking dick at Stu's
Packed his bags and faded away just a little confused
Not part of a generation with nothing to do
Destination Unknown, words misconstrued
something to prove (nothing to lose)
not part of a generation with nothing to do
Fade away
I can't get away
My day
There's no other way
Tina shake shaked a the Burger King
With her hair done right yeah she's a queen
Made up with her mom and dad tonight Everything's alright
Johnny came back with a smile on his face
Got a fucked up hair cut and a brief case
High school drop out, nothing to do Not enough for you
The lyrics to Apocalypse Hoboken's song "Be Alright" is a political satire and commentary on the social and economic issues faced by the younger generation during the early '90s. The song starts with Johnny, who goes away for a while and returns with significant weight loss, having no job or car. Frustrated with his situation and not wanting to wait, he chooses to make extra cash by performing sexual favors at a place called Stu's. The song implies that there is a generation of young people with nothing to do and no clear direction in life, as they are misunderstood and not taken seriously by society. Johnny has a mind full of happiness and a body with something to prove, and this suggests that he is trying to make something of his life but cannot find a meaningful way to do so.
The chorus signifies the confusion and frustration of the youth in their aimless lives. They don't know where they are heading, and their choices are blurred and obscured by the misinterpreted opinions and expectations of the society around them. The songwriter comments that Tina finally finds a job at Burger King and reconciles with her parents. Meanwhile, Johnny's return from his short-lived endeavor with a smile on his face and baggage could represent a more profound, more nuanced interpretation of his character. Perhaps, he embarked on a journey to take control of his life and reinvent himself, and his new haircut and briefcase lend some credence to this.
