Before their unfortunate demise, Apocalypse Hoboken toured with the likes of The Vandals, The Ataris, Ten Foot Pole, Less Than Jake, Swingin' Utters, Agent Orange, Guttermouth, Strung Out, Bigwig, Suicide Machines, At the Drive In, Murder City Devils, and appeared on West Coast dates of the Warped Tour.
Their last show in 2003 sold out Chicago's Metro, and though they haven't recorded a shred of new music in five years, demand for their live act has never been greater. A reunion at the Abbey Pub with all-original members promises to be a highlight of 2006.

The Devil Has a Pussy
Apocalypse Hoboken Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
He's not that calloused
He just knows that you'll hurt him
He thinks the devil has a pussy
So he drinks to forget all about that nasty beak
He's drunk, you're drunk, filthy naked bird
He'll fuck every feather out of you
Leave you in the morning with his sweat seeping from every hole
I think he got a piece of you
Everything is a treat for you
I think you need a piece of you
Everybody wants a piece of you
I know you know who knows better
Anyone, anyway
I think he got a piece of you
Everything is a treat for you
I think you need a piece of you
Everybody wants a piece of you
I know you know who knows better
Anyone, anyway
To call you a piece should be a crime
It's a cross to bear handed down through time
You think the devil has a pussy
So you drink to forget all about that nasty beak
You're drunk, he's drunk
Naked ugly duckling, feeble little mama's boy
Leave him in the morning with his cock bent up his ass
I think he got a piece of you
Everything is a treat for you
I think you need a piece of you
Everybody wants a piece of you
I know you know who knows better
Anyone, anyway
I think he got a piece of you
Everything is a treat for you
I think you need a piece of you
Everybody wants a piece of you
I know you know who knows better
Anyone, anyway
The lyrics of Apocalypse Hoboken's song, "The Devil Has a Pussy," suggest feelings of misogyny and self-hatred. The line "He hates all you women" may imply that the author sees women as a source of pain rather than as equals. The following line "He just knows that you'll hurt him" suggests a fear or mistrust of women, possibly rooted in past experiences. The line "He thinks the devil has a pussy" is metaphorical and suggests that the author views women as evil or dangerous. The character in the song appears to be struggling with his own sexuality, as he drinks to forget about "that nasty beak," possibly a reference to a penis, a symbol of his own masculine identity. The phrase "I think he got a piece of you" implies that the character has had sexual relations with the woman addressed in the song, and the following lines "Everything is a treat for you/I think you need a piece of you/Everybody wants a piece of you," could suggest that the woman is sexually promiscuous and/or self-destructive.
