First off, great job capturing realistic emotion. I actually choked up when she broke down in the road. Everyone thinks that, in a situation like this, they'll be a bad-ass. But when push comes to shove, I doubt there'll be a bad-ass in sight. She was a real person. Technically speaking, Camera stabilization is key. I'm sure you wanted that rugged look and I know stabilization is hard to achieve running through the woods, but it really is important. Sound FX are another critique I have. I could tell that the radio static and creature noises weren't coming from the environment. I think taking their volume down would help with that. Musically speaking, I'm not sure how I feel. I suppose it's better than 16 minutes of silence, but at the same time, I feel like there are parts where it just doesn't fit. I know your films are usually monologued or with very few words. And that works for this film. But I would like to see you test yourself with heavy dialogue someday. Overall, I really did enjoy this film. I play a lot of survival games so this genre is a favorite of mine. I'm looking forward to a sequel. You left it in a good place for one.
Keep in touch.
