The lyrics to Apocalyptica feat. Adam Gontier's "I Don't Care" depict a person who is essentially trapped in a situation where they feel helpless and overwhelmed. They try to make it through their life their own way, but it seems like there's always someone else interfering, represented by the phrase "there's you". They try to stay honest and truthful ("make it through these lies") but it's a constant battle. The song's central message is about acceptance and letting go of things that we can't change.
