Canibal
Arawato Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Y pienso
Que las palabras llegan al peor
Momento
Y solo el tiempo me dirá
Cuánto tengo que esperar
Es probar a Dios
Me causa hambre
Oír tu voz
Conocerte es como una adicción
Que duele
Pues solo pienso en tenerte entre
Mis dientes
No me puedo controlar
Eres mi necesidad
Probar tu carne
Es probar a Dios
Me causa hambre
Oír tu voz
Probar tu carne
Es probar a Dios
Me causa hambre
Oír tu voz
The lyrics to Arawato's song Caníbal depict a conflicted narrator who is searching for a solution to his dilemma. The lyrics suggest that speaking out may not always be the best option, as the timing may be bad or the listener may not be receptive. The singer is struggling with a desire to consume the flesh of someone he deeply desires, which he likens to the experience of tasting divinity. This desire is likened to an addiction, causing pain and torment as he constantly thinks about fulfilling it. He feels powerless to resist the impulse, which is driving him to extremes.
The lyrics to Caníbal explore themes of powerlessness, addiction, and taboo desires. The singer's yearning for the object of his desire is presented as all-consuming, causing him to lose sight of the consequences of his actions. The use of religious imagery, with the suggestion that consuming the flesh of the desired person is akin to tasting the divine, adds a layer of complexity to the lyrics. The line "eres mi necesidad" (you are my necessity) hints at the singer's dependency on the object of his desire, and the inability to control his own urges.
Overall, the lyrics to Arawato's song Caníbal are a haunting exploration of taboo desires and the emotional realities of addiction.
