Arca embraces fluidity and changing between states, whether it be gender, genre, or personality. In a 2020 interview, they say "We all have multiple personalities. Rather than causing panic, I think maybe that could cause some relief". "There was a clear intention on her fourth album, Kick i to allow every self to express itself. Not to decide how much air time each self would get, but to allow for modulation between them in a spontaneous way. There is no such thing as normal". In Mutability and ambivalence guide the sound of her music — the atmospheres they create often contain abrasive percussive blasts, metal-shop whine, the screech of subway brakes, the whine of jet engines overheating. Anthropomorphic and animalistic sounds abound —mewling cats, mooing cows, anguished screams, the grunts and groans of orgasm, commingling pleasure and terror and beauty and ugliness in the most thrilling ways possible.
She has also been credited for her writing/producing efforts on Björk's Vulnicura and the entirety of Utopia. Alongside FKA twigs' EP2 as well as for their collaborations with Dean Blunt, Frank Ocean, Kelela, Kanye West, ROSALÍA and Lady Gaga, among others.

Arca Lyrics

El Carutal reverdece
Y no sabe llorar
Ábreme
Cuando el amor llega así
De esta manera
No no no no no no no no no
Ámame otra vez
Si te atreves
Ámame otra vez
Si te atreves
Ámame otra vez
In Arca's song Reverie, the lyrics reflect the transformative power of love. The opening verse, "Cuando el amor llega así de esta manera," loosely translates to "When love arrives in this way." The following line, "El Carutal reverdece," is a metaphor symbolizing nature's response to the arrival of love, as the trees turn green and vibrant. The next line, "Y no sabe llorar," which means "And it doesn't know how to cry," can be interpreted as a symbol of the purity of love, which brings only happiness and no tears.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "Cuando el amor llega así de esta manera," along with the line "Ámame otra vez si te atreves," which translates to "Love me again if you dare." This line suggests that love is not always an easy road and sometimes requires courage to try again.
Overall, the lyrics of Reverie portray the power of love to transform and rejuvenate, while also acknowledging that it can be a challenging journey that requires bravery and perseverance to navigate.

Hey, my mother language is spanish so I'm going to try to translate the song for you, guys. First of all this lyrics are like a mix of an old song named "Caballo viejo" (Old horse) by Simón Díaz. Okay, here we go:
[Verse 1]
Cuando el amor llega así de esta manera
El Carutal reverdece
Y no sabe llorar
Ábreme
[Verse 2]
Cuando el amor llega así
De esta manera
No no no no no no no no no
No sabe
[Outro]
Ámame otra vez
Si te atreves
Ámame otra vez
Si te atreves
Ámame otra vez
[Verse 1]
When love arrives this way
The "Carutal" becomes green (Carutal is a place where there's a lot of Carutos, which are a kind of tree. They become green in spring, so it's like saying "the flowers bloom", it's something positive)
And doesn't know how to cry
Open me
[Verse 2]
When love arrives like this
Like this way
No no no no no no no no no
He doesn't know
[Outro]
Love me again
If you dare
Love me again
If you dare
Love me again
So... my conclusion to this song and to this video (remember, it's just my oponion) is that it talks about 1) rape 2) or homosexual sex, and the pain that comes with it...

Ok I don't know if anyone reads this but here goes.
the lyrics of this song are taken from another song called: "caballo viejo" by Simón Díaz, this song is native and well known here in Venezuela.
The funny thing comes here.
This song is about an old horse, . that the only thing that motivates him to continue living is to "meet" with a mare
piece of lyrics
when love arrives like this way
one is not to blame
love each other has no time
or date on the calenda
r when the desire comes together
What the song conveys is that nothing else matters when the horse feels like it.

The ability to express trauma and pain in such an artistic way is beyond impressive.

@narcissus6350
@@user-sd6jz9tf8w So, so, so arrogant and ignorant at the same time... I hate artists that bush on other artists just because they chose to use THEIR body to express their art. If you indeed are an artist at all, please do read about performance art and about body in art cause u seem uneducated. Also, queer arts always used their bodies to the front to express their pain and trauma by the patriarchal society that we live in and the symbolism of rape or of the need to become a woman when in fact trans people feel not good enough even after their surgeries (talking about queer and trans identities cause Arca defines herself/themselves as a gender queer person), is really powerful in the "ass scene".
