In 2013, Architects parted with Century Media, self-releasing the documentary One Hundred Days: The Story of Architects Almost World Tour and joining Epitaph Records. They released their sixth album Lost Forever // Lost Together through the label in 2014, achieving widespread critical acclaim which has lasted since. Soon after the release of their follow-up All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us in 2016, principal guitarist and songwriter Tom Searle died after three years of living with skin cancer. In September 2017, the band released the single "Doomsday"—the last song that he was working on before his death—and announced Josh Middleton of Sylosis as their new lead guitarist. The single is included on their new album Holy Hell, which was released in November 2018 and is their first written without Searle.
All members of the band are vegan, having turned to veganism after watching several documentaries on the subject. They also promote the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, with Carter being one of its British ambassadors.
2) Architects was a screamo/emo-violence band brought up with members of Austin, Texas' own Toru Okada. Now known as the band Faithealer. Members went on to form, join or were in Body Pressure, Esclavo, Mindless, Askela, Hatred Surge, Chest Pain, Breathing Problem, Captive, Concave / Convex, Country Club, Interior One, Mental Abortion, The Snobs, Total Abuse and White Dog.
3) Architects (also ArchitectsKCMO) is also the name used by a Kansas City Soul Rock band who've released 4 albums (Keys To The Building 2005, Revenge 2006, Vice 2007 and The Hard Way 2009). They were formed from the ashes of Hellcat Records (and later Thick Records) Ska/Pop/Rock band The Gadjits. The Architects sound is a mature version of the later Gadjits material, dropping all ska influence for a Springsteen & The Who sounding rock approach. They are currently signed to Skeleton Crew Records.

Don't believe everything that you're told
Deception hides in all you see
Corruption hangs in the air that you breathe
And in the land of the free
You know nothing comes for free
Fourth drive in paradise
Vapid souls check the market price
Living in a suburban grave
If there was a God, was a God,
You would be the death of him
These colours don't run,
Like colours from the face,
Eyes roll back chemical despair,
It's true what they say life isn't fair
So repeat this line, everything, everything is fine
So repeat this line, everything, everything is fine
These colours don't run,
Like colours from the face,
Eyes roll back chemical despair,
It's true what they say life isn't fair
And in the land of the free
You know nothing comes for free
I'm struggling to find any poetry in this
Someone beat me to the line ignorance is bliss
So I guess I'll just say it how it is
You had it all, you fucking pigs!
These streets aren't paved with gold
Don't believe everything that you're told
Deception hides in all you see
Corruption hangs in the air that you breathe
The lyrics to Architects' song "These Colours Don't Run" are a commentary on the flaws and injustices of modern society. The song makes use of powerful imagery to describe the corruption and deception that pervade our world. The opening lines, "These streets aren't paved with gold, don't believe everything that you're told," warn the listener not to buy into the false promises of those in power. The lyrics go on to describe how corruption and vapid consumerism have turned our world into a suburban grave, a place where people are enslaved by their own desires.
The chorus of the song features the repeated phrase "These colours don't run," which serves as a defiant statement against the forces of oppression. The lyrics suggest that while life may be unfair, we must still resist those who seek to control us. The line "If there was a God, was a God, you would be the death of him" is particularly powerful, as it suggests that those who perpetuate injustice are responsible for the death of morality and decency in the world.
The song ends with a call to action, as the singer expresses his frustration with those who have become complacent and have allowed the world to become so corrupt. The final lines, "These streets aren't paved with gold, don't believe everything that you're told, deception hides in all you see, corruption hangs in the air that you breathe," remind us that it is up to us to resist and fight back against injustice and corruption wherever we encounter it.
