In 2013, Architects parted with Century Media, self-releasing the documentary One Hundred Days: The Story of Architects Almost World Tour and joining Epitaph Records. They released their sixth album Lost Forever // Lost Together through the label in 2014, achieving widespread critical acclaim which has lasted since. Soon after the release of their follow-up All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us in 2016, principal guitarist and songwriter Tom Searle died after three years of living with skin cancer. In September 2017, the band released the single "Doomsday"—the last song that he was working on before his death—and announced Josh Middleton of Sylosis as their new lead guitarist. The single is included on their new album Holy Hell, which was released in November 2018 and is their first written without Searle.
All members of the band are vegan, having turned to veganism after watching several documentaries on the subject. They also promote the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, with Carter being one of its British ambassadors.

3) Architects (also ArchitectsKCMO) is also the name used by a Kansas City Soul Rock band who've released 4 albums (Keys To The Building 2005, Revenge 2006, Vice 2007 and The Hard Way 2009). They were formed from the ashes of Hellcat Records (and later Thick Records) Ska/Pop/Rock band The Gadjits. The Architects sound is a mature version of the later Gadjits material, dropping all ska influence for a Springsteen & The Who sounding rock approach. They are currently signed to Skeleton Crew Records.
We're All Alone
Architects Lyrics

Still I sleep alone at night
In years you'll thank me
For getting everything right
I am the sun
Still I sit alone in a red sky
Keeping my eyes on you
Were all alone
In time you'll find that
Were all on our own (all on our own)
Were all on our own , chasing nothing
My dreams have fallen , I'm wearing thin
I need something to fill this void I'm constantly in
And I can't do this
I am your hero
I just don't care tonight
In years you'll forget me
I got everything right
I am the sun
I didn't rise today
I left you in darkness
And I just don't care anymore about you
You can sit and suffer alone without me
I am your hero
Save your "thank you"'s
In times to come ill rise above this
But for now I can't ill just sit here
My dreams have fallen once again
My dreams have fallen once again
I need something to fill this void I'm in
The lyrics to Architects's song We're All Alone seem to be a reflection on the pressures and isolation that comes with being a hero, whether that be in the sense of being a celebrity or a personal hero to someone. The opening lines "I am your hero, still I sleep alone at night" suggest that despite being admired and looked up to, the hero in question is still ultimately alone. The following lines suggest that this loneliness may be worth it in the long run, as they suggest that in years to come, those who have been influenced by the hero will "thank" them for "getting everything right". However, as the song progresses, it becomes clear that this "hero" is struggling with the burden of their own expectations, with lines like "my dreams have fallen, I'm wearing thin" suggesting that they are feeling burnt out and unfulfilled.
The chorus "in time you'll find that were all on our own" seems to serve as a reminder that no matter who you are or what you achieve, ultimately you will always be alone in your own mind and experiences. This sentiment is echoed in later lines which suggest that the hero in question is becoming disillusioned with their own status, saying "I just don't care anymore about you, you can sit and suffer alone without me". The song seems to be grappling with the idea that to some extent, being a hero necessarily involves sacrificing your own happiness and wellbeing in order to achieve those heroic acts. In the end, the hero seems to be left wondering whether it's all worth it, stating "I need something to fill this void I'm in".
Overall, We're All Alone is a powerful reflection on the pressures that come with being a hero and the toll it can take on your mental health and personal life.
