1. Arco are a British band noted for unusually slow, quiet, poetic music: a gig review in national newspaper The Guardian suggested "an hour in arco's company is the aural equivalent of a day in a flotation tank". Similarly, a review in Q, a UK monthly music magazine, described first album Coming To Terms as "the aural equivalent of a human being pausing for thought as the world speeds on around".
2. Arco (Antonio Arco) is the former singer from the Spanish band "El Puchero del Hortelano". Starting his solo career in 2016 with the release of his album "Uno", he's been doing music on his own until this day with other albums such as "Abril" (2018) and "100 Veces" (2020).
3. Formed in 2008 by Neil Luck, ARCO is a group of composers, artists and (mainly) string players from a range of musical and artistic disciplines and backgrounds. The group explores experimental approaches to non-standard notation and live performance practice as a starting point for creating bespoke, collaborative music theatre events characterised by an uncompromisingly avant-garde aesthetic, and radical mix of influences from contemporary classical music, magick rituals, concrete poetry, free improvisation, slapstick comedy, Kabuki theatre and Broadway show tunes
Lie
Arco Lyrics

friends and lovers, you and i
everyone a liar
and everything a lie
all of this will fall
fade away or burn
all of this will fall
In Arco's song Lie, the artist poses a rather bleak view of the world. He lists a number of different individuals - preachers, leaders, writers, teachers, friends and lovers - and suggests that they are all liars. This could be taken in a few different ways. For example, some might interpret the song as an expression of frustration or disillusionment with the people in positions of power and influence in society. Others might see it as a more general commentary on how difficult it can be to discern truth in a world that often seems to be full of deception and half-truths.
Regardless of how one chooses to interpret the lyrics, it's clear that Arco sees the world as a fragile and impermanent place. He suggests that all of our efforts to build something lasting or meaningful will ultimately fail, whether because of natural processes like decay and erosion, or because of man-made disasters like fires. And yet, at the same time, Arco's lyrics seem to suggest that maybe this isn't such a bad thing. After all, if everything is a lie, then perhaps it's better to accept that fact and live in the moment, rather than striving for something that can never be achieved.
Overall, Lie is a thought-provoking song that challenges listeners to think critically about the world around them. It raises some difficult questions about truth and honesty, and forces us to consider how we can navigate a world that can often seem hostile and deceptive.
