Married to Alisa Daniels, July 2002 - they divorced in 2005. He lived with Geneva Jacuzzi for seven years until early 2011.
He has since caught the attention of various media sources, especially in the Los Angeles area. As most of his albums are self-made, many of them have never been heard by fans. The only albums which have been commercially released come from his "Haunted Graffiti" series and are thus the best known.
Pink produces and plays almost all of his own music, and is noted for creating drum sounds using primarily his mouth, and sometimes his armpits. His home recording technique gives his music a very lo-fi sound, to the point where new listeners may mistake the era of his music.
Pink cites R. Stevie Moore--friend, mentor, and "father of home recording"--as one of his major influences. He is sometimes associated with the New Weird America movement, and could also be considered an embodiment of 'The New Sincerity'. Pink boasts a cult following and endorsements from more widely known artists such as fellow Paw Tracks artists Animal Collective.
Aside from his music, Pink also makes semi-abstract and surreal grotesque drawings, which can be purchased from his unofficial website, ARIEL PINK haunted house, for a hefty price.

Carry the cross, boy, and make your bed
In a place where all is unknown
Face behind the mask of the sky
Halfway spinning to a better place
In the body of a man mind of a girl
What's the view like from your bed?
Where a handful of love goes down where you got fed
Now it's time for pain, that's right
Penetration time tonight
Penetration... when we power plant bodies
Yeah we power plant bodies
And we power plant bodies (on the body farm)
Are we power plant bodies? (on the body farm)
Providence of angels and fairymen
Here after all's well and said is done
What's the view like from your bed?
Where a handful of love goes down where you got fed
Now it's time for pain, that's right
Penetration time tonight
Not enough violence
(you're fertilizer, fertilizer! (on the body farm))
Carnage, violence, carnage, violence
Not enough violence(you're fertilizer, fertilizer! (on the body farm)
Are we power plant bodies? (on the body farm)
Not enough violence
Halfway spinning to a better place
Body of a man
Power plant bodies
Are we power plant bodies
(on the body farm)
Mind of a girl
The lyrics to Ariel Pink's song "Lipstick" portray a feeling of impending doom, with the mention of a "doomsday clock" ticking down. The singer seems resigned to their fate, as they are told to "carry the cross" and make their bed in a place where "all is unknown." The mention of a "face behind the mask of the sky" adds to the feeling that there is a sinister force at work, watching over everything.
The second half of the song has a more sexual tone, with the repeated refrain of "penetration time tonight." The lyrics become more chaotic and nonsensical, with references to "power plant bodies" and the "body farm." The idea of violence is also present, with the repeated phrase "not enough violence" and the disturbing line "you're fertilizer" repeated several times.
Overall, the lyrics to "Lipstick" are open to interpretation, but seem to portray a sense of unease and tension, both in terms of a looming apocalypse and a more personal connection between sex and violence.
