Arise began around 1998 in Fairfield, OH USA. Jason Begley and Kim Romine, both final members and cousins, started the group. For years, they sang in their home church and around the community at various singings and church gatherings.
In 2002, Arise recorded their first album, the self-titled Arise. It was a collection of traditional Southern Gospel staples and fan favorites, including the songs "I Got Up and Went", "I'm Bound for a City", and Dottie Rambo's "I've Never Been This Homesick Before".
During the summer of 2003, Arise was named a semi-finalist in the Exalting Him 2003 National Talent Search.
Arise recorded a new project titled A Living Testimony in the summer of 2004. It was produced by Jimmy Dooley. It was Arise's first attempt at original material, including songs written by Jimmy Dooley, John Darin Rowsey, Greg Day, Sheri LaFontaine, Crystal Lewis, and Arise's own Jason Begley. It also included their first radio single, "Taking A Turn For The Best", featured on the Rick Hendrix Company's Compilation #33.
Arise is now on an indefinite hiatus, having parted ways in 2006. There has been talk about reuniting and possibly with a new name, although nothing has been official.

5. Arise is a Thrash Metal band from Japan
Four guys formed the band in Dec 2005 with genuine 80's thrash metal influence. This band named "Arise" started their gigs in May 2006 after their hyperactive preparation based on "Thrash", which was way beyond "mixture of music" type thing. The band has opened for many bands from many countries and is respected by the people in local music industries. No frills, no fancy stuff. Proud of being minor. Their aggressive attitude tells that. Their 1st demo "It's only THRASH! But I like it!" was released in April 2007. The eye of the loud and heavy music hurricane will invade your town! They have released their debut full length album in 2013, titled Don't Worry Be Happy!. They are still active.

Of Life And Death
Arise Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
A test performed on the misbehaved
We give you injections and you collect a reward
Where are we going? I guess no one knows
This is an experiment on the human soul
A crossbreeding extravaganza
If your engine is bad we're just tuning it up
(Chorus)
A new religion
Gods of the present and future
We are the new religion
Masters of life and death
Are you ready for your health inspection?
Nothing will cure you like a brain injection
Evolution seems to have stagnated
We're merely increasing the speed
(Chorus)
A new religion
Gods of the present and future
We are the new religion
Masters of life and death
A new religion...
The lyrics of Arise's song Of Life And Death are a commentary on the role of science in modern society. The song looks at the impact that science has had on humanity, and how it has been used to control and manipulate people. The opening lines of the song make it clear that this is an exploration of the human mind, and a test performed on those who are misbehaving. The use of injections is mentioned, suggesting that science is being used to alter people's behavior.
The song then continues by describing science as an experiment on the human soul. The imagery of crossbreeding suggests that science is attempting to create something new, something beyond what has been seen before. The line "if your engine is bad we're just tuning it up" suggests that science is also being used to repair and fix those who are broken. This is all being done with the use of science, which is described as making humans into gods.
The chorus of the song introduces the idea of a new religion, one that is based on the power of science. The song suggests that science is the new religion, with its practitioners becoming the masters of life and death. The song concludes with a call for a health inspection and a brain injection, making it clear that science is the key to the future, and that evolution has stagnated without it.

It must of been terrifying, to be honest- becoming just smart enough to realise just how hostile and confusing the world around us really is.

I went to see Lucy's fossil in Ethiopia and if there is one thing that struck me at first sight, it was how small she was. As said in the video, she was about 1m tall. That's the size of a 6 year old. Imagine trying to survive in the savanna when you're that small
User
@billy bob do have any evidence of these giant fossils?
Lepua
@User as an Ethiopian no but i don't think we are that advanced to know life and death of something that died millions of years ago 😁
User
@Lepua we don't know their life and death, this is mostly speculation but I'm pretty sure that Lucy isn't an artificial fossil that is the product of Satan
