Following the successful reception of Aristo’s debut single, the band has spent the year playing shows around the Midwest with international touring bands such as Uriah Heep (UK), Set It Off (Equal Vision Records), The Millionaires (Decaydance), Sparks The Rescue (Fearless Records) and Rocky Loves Emily (Tooth & Nail Records), as well as local favorites like Hawthorne Heights, Twenty One Pilots, This Love, and The Orphan, The Poet.
When the time came to start recording their debut EP, Aristo found the songs they’d written shared common themes throughout - love, heartbreak, betrayal, and the ultimate search for truth. These songs culminated in “This One’s For You, And Me,” a diverse collection of pop rock short stories, the recording of which was entirely self produced.
Aristo both polished and expanded their music with this EP, retaining their youthful sound in songs such as “Still Young” and “Butterflies” yet maturing in what has been acclaimed as a contemporary radio friendly pop rock EP. A golden track to check out on the EP is “This Isn’t A Sad Song (ft. Jane Smith).” This uplifting anthem has the perfect combination of tongue-in-cheek catchiness which calls to mind the likes of Say Anything and Panic! At The Disco.
Currently the band is in the studio recording their sophomore EP as it is set to release on May 12th, 2012.

Whenever we're together
We lose all track of time
But I never seem to be
No I never seem to be enough
I'm gonna pass you by
You keep living for yourself
And pay me no respect
If I never seem to be enough
Then what the hell are you looking for
I'll never see a cubicle
Cuz my goddamn ADD
I'll never be the perfect man
The one that you want me to be
I'm not responsible or sensible
You might think I'm impossible
I'm not a lot of things but I'm right here
I'm standing right here
If all you cared about was money
And all the stuff I bought you
Then I
Guess I'll never be
I guess I'll never be enough
But if you decide what you need is
Take out in a bag
And all our bad movies
Well then it seems to me that I
That I'd be what you're looking for
I'll never see a cubicle
Cuz my goddamn ADD
I'll never be the perfect man
The one that you want me to be
I'm not responsible or sensible
You might think I'm impossible
I'm not a lot of things but I'm right here
I'm standing right here
And I'm standing
When you walk
Out the door
I'll be standing right here
I'll wait right here
Til you find what you're looking for
I'll never see a cubicle
Cuz my goddamn ADD
I'll never be the perfect man
The one that you want me to be
I'm not responsible or sensible
You might think I'm impossible
I'm not a lot of things but I'm right
I'm not a lot of things but I'll be

The song "Purgatory" by Aristo is about a relationship where the singer feels like they're not enough for their partner. The chorus repeatedly asks "If I never seem to be enough, then what the hell are you looking for?" expressing the frustration of feeling overlooked and undervalued. The singer acknowledges that they're not perfect and don't fit the mold of what their partner may want but still maintain that they're standing right here and willing to wait for them.
The first verse sets up the relationship as one where they have a good time together but the singer doesn't feel like they get enough respect. The second verse delves into the expectations put on the singer to fit a certain mold and provide financially for their partner. However, the singer knows they can never be the perfect man or meet all these expectations, but they're still willing to be there for their partner and wait for them to figure out what they want.
Overall, the song is about feeling ignored and undervalued in a relationship but still being willing to wait and stand by for their partner. The singer is aware of their shortcomings and limitations, but they refuse to compromise their true self for their partner's expectations.

We have a good time
We enjoy spending time together
Whenever we're together
When we're in each other's company
We lose all track of time
We get so wrapped up in our conversations and activities that we don't pay attention to the time passing
But I never seem to be
But it appears that I am not
No I never seem to be enough
No matter what I do, I don't seem to measure up
I'm gonna pass you by
I'm going to leave you behind
You keep living for yourself
You only care about yourself
And pay me no respect
You don't show me any respect
So if I never seem to be
So if it appears that I'm not enough
Then what the hell are you looking for
What exactly do you want from me?
I'll never see a cubicle
I'll never work a boring office job
Cuz my goddamn ADD
Because of my attention deficit disorder
I'll never be the perfect man
I'll never be exactly what you want me to be
The one that you want me to be
The person you're trying to turn me into
I'm not responsible or sensible
I'm not reliable or level-headed
You might think I'm impossible
You might think I'm difficult to work with or understand
I'm not a lot of things but I'm right here
I may not be what you want or expect, but I'm here
And I'm standing
I'm still here, standing
When you walk
When you leave
Out the door
Through the door
I'll be standing right here
I'll still be here, waiting for you
I'll wait right here
I'll wait patiently in this spot
Til you find what you're looking for
Until you find what you're searching for
I'm not a lot of things but I'm right
I'm not perfect or ideal, but I'm still here
I'm not a lot of things but I'll be
I may not be your ideal partner, but I'll still be here
