Inertia
Armin van Buuren Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Resistance shows that you're guilty
Keep on speeding on everything that you own
Dreaming systems that operate without me
Resisting and hoping to find support

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in Armin van Buuren's song Inertia seem to be reflective of someone who is feeling guilty for resisting something or someone. The opening line states that "Resistance shows that you're guilty," implying that the act of resistance means that the person is somehow at fault. The next line, "keep on speeding on everything that you own," may suggest that the person is trying to make up for their guilt by focusing on material possessions or achievements.

The following line, "Dreaming systems that operate without me," implies that the person feels excluded or left out of some larger system or process. And finally, "Resisting and hoping to find support," suggests that the person is seeking validation or help in their struggle to resist, but has yet to find it.

Overall, the lyrics seem to express feelings of guilt, isolation, and a desire for support or validation. The mention of "inertia" in the title might further suggest a feeling of being stuck or unable to move forward in some way.

Resisting shows that you're guilty
Keep on speeding from everything that you own
Dream existence could open really without me
Resisting and hoping to find someone

In my opinion, this one is his personally the best work ever. Guess he was a prime at that time, end even Tiesto don't have some track similar or close to this one. Golden era of Trance is definately from 95' to 2010. Now we have some new and well known uplifters like Matt Skyer, Brian Kearney, Will Atkinson and so on, but gues that only tracks from this timeline will stay a gems.

Take a look these tracks:

A98 - Solar Field
Rising Sun (Bjorn Akesson Rmx)
Eternal (Activa Rmx)
Revive (Static Blue Rmx)
S8 & Tab - Delusion
Satellite (Cosmic Gate Rmx)
Frizzbomb (John O'Callaghan Rmx)
Marco Botelli - Q Point
Will Atkinson - Watch Out
Dave 202 - Torrent
Mystery - Mystery
Ron Van Den Beuuken - Keep On Movin'
Future Breeze - Smile
Talla 2XLC - Shine
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster
Signum - Push Trough

etc. etc. (I can't even remember anymore how much good tracks we enjoyed that time).

2021 visit.
