I read in a 2019 interview how much AVB takes to heart comments, how they have affected his mental health, and to today, he still reads every comment and is moved by them, good or bad.

I just want to apologize to AVB for being one of those people who left negative comments, because I thought he should play “Uplifting Trance” he was known for, say at Gatecrasher. I made comments about him being “the king of Trouse,” as if that was a bad thing…well Trouse kinda is (to me, but that’s just my preferences).

I just want to say I’m SO SORRY if anything I said EVER effected you Armin. And I want to take this moment to THANK YOU from the bottom of my Trance❤️Heart, for all that you did, have done, and will continue to do for the dance music scene❣️

I may not like, or even agree with everything you have done, but like you say in that interview, that’s ok and healthy to have a variety of opinion and you “have a place to put those comments now,” and you have therefore regained the sanctity of your own happiness by doing so❣️
