Armstrong Luis Lyrics

just an old sweet song... keeps georgia on my mind
I said now, georgia... georgia... a song of you
comes as sweet and clear... as moonlight through the pines
Other arms reach out to me... other eyes smile tenderly
still in peaceful dreams i see... the road leads back to you
I said, georgia... georgia... no peace i find
just an old sweet song... keeps georgia on my mind
Other arms reach out to me... other eyes smile tenderly
still in peaceful dreams i see... the road leads back to you
Now ya know it's, georgia... georgia... no peace, no peace i find
just this old, sweet song... keeps georgia on my mind
Just this old sweet song... keeps georgia on my mind
Armstrong Luis's song "Georgia On My Mind" is a nostalgic tribute to the state of Georgia. The song portrays an individual who is away from Georgia but is filled with memories that keep him emotionally connected to Georgia. The lyrics suggest that no matter where the singer goes or what he does, his mind always returns to Georgia. The lyrics begin and end with the repetition of the word "Georgia," which emphasizes the emotional connection the singer has with the state.
The song's lyrics utilize a metaphor, comparing the emotional connection the singer has with Georgia to an old sweet song that keeps playing in his mind. This metaphor emphasizes the sense of nostalgia and longing that the song conveys. The singer further emphasizes the emotional connection by describing how Georgia's beauty and sweet sound keep him emotionally attached to the state. The line "Other arms reach out to me... other eyes smile tenderly," suggests that the singer is away from someone he loves in Georgia, and the line "still in peaceful dreams I see... the road leads back to you," portrays the singer dreaming of returning to Georgia to his loved one.

Hey these are the folks that made everyone guide to more, just a version of the blues which lead to jazz, country, rock and roll, R& B I love the songs. I was just a really little when I first heard Louis Armstrong and he still gives me goosebumps to this day. I wanted to play and sing like he did but I do not still my admiration and love for his style, his phrasing was beyond conpare. So you are not a freak to love and listen to this style of music its magic to my ears still.

Louis Armstrong was one of the final musicians to appreciate song as performance rather than product.
