Il compose et écrit des chansons depuis les années 90, période où son groupe, Notre-Dame, s’illustre dans le petit milieu de la pop-arrangée parisienne, avec un premier disque Chansons originales. Une reconnaissance confidentielle, qui permettra à Notre-Dame de faire entendre sa musique, et de rencontrer des producteurs étrangers.
Janvier 2004 verra la sortie, chez le tout nouveau label French Touche, de Portrait du jeune homme en artiste, album personnel et ambitieux, album rare par sa sincérité et par la finesse de ses arrangements.
Son impeccable costume trois pièces, et son allure de mannequin égaré au pays de la chanson française pourraient passer pour de la prétention et ses chansonnettes pour de la mégalomanie. Il n’en est rien. Arnaud Fleurent-Didier a de la classe. Arnaud Fleurent-Didier a cette classe naturelle et sincère. Son album en est la preuve. Les morceaux se succèdent comme les pages d’un carnet secret, devenu publique. Il y consigne -avec un sens de l’ironie aiguisé- ses angoisses, ses doutes, ses interrogations, ses rêves, ses peines et ses joies... Le regard des autres. Le besoin d’une reconnaissance publique. Il est aujourd'hui accompagné sur scène par Dorothée de Koon et Milo McMullen. Il était également accompagné de Daovone Sribouavong à la batterie lors des prestations scéniques de 2009.
