Arrah and the Ferns reformed with a new lineup and are currently based in Philadelphia. They meld many sounds of folk, country, blues, indie- rock, and pop. Their sound is not easily defined as their direction and members have changed a number of times. So far Arrah and the Ferns have released three full-length albums and an EP.

In Arrah and the Ferns' song "Liar Liar," the lyrics focus on a one-sided love where the singer is concerned for the person they love who is in a harmful relationship. The first verse sets the tone for the song. The person the singer loves "doesn't deserve the weight of the world in the curl of [their] arm" being in a harmful relationship. The singer believes they need to run wild, think, have friends to defend them and have an ocean to swim through. As the song progresses, the singer becomes more expressive about what they're feeling towards the person they're in love with. They want their loved one to let their hair grow and to stop biting their nails. In the second verse, the singer talks about their own needs while strongly suggesting that the person they love should leave their current relationship.
The chorus sees the singer calling out for their loved one to talk to them. The loved one keeps them out and won't let them in until it's too late. The singer needs a place to run wild, think and needs a mountain to cover their pains. The song ends with repeating the phrase, "I know nothing now." The repetition suggests that the singer has let go of their loved one and that they don't want to know anything that's happened, possibly out of self-preservation, as it's too painful for them to dwell on it.
