They're Leisure Studios is in the Allen family basement. Over the last several years they have worked together on different projects and decided it was time to actually write and record together. The result is Arranged Marriage. Scott and his brother Ryan are members of Thunderbirds Are Now!, an acclaimed indie rock band that has released 2 albums on the French Kiss label. He has toured extensively in the states as well as Europe and Australia. He also released “Scott Allen and the Breakdance” a surprisingly mature album when he was 16 on the Suburban Sprawl label. Brad has recorded several albums for local acts including, Red Shirt Brigade, The Javelins, Tiny Steps, Thunderbirds Are Now!, The Recital, New Grenada and others. He played live for years with The Voyager Band and The AllTin Brothers. His self released EP called “Nifty at Fifty” was produced in 2005. This new projects is literally a mix of the old and new – which coincidently – meets somewhere in the middle. Their joint love of singer/song writers – both new and old – is reflected in their musical and lyrical approach to the songs. They wear their influences clearly on their sleeve and you’ll defiantly hear songs that that will remind you of other artists - and that’s cool with them. We went through a hiccup a couple of years ago and before we tried therapy we both agreed to get comfortable with uncomfortable conversations, as this commitment to each other was sacred. We set ground rules for it and it was the BEST agreement we ever had. I think theres always one spouse that is more serious and one that isn't. It is the compromising, communication and trust that the relationship has that determines if it will succeed or not. I think this whole concept is really dumb in regards to actually "fixing a marriage". They are sending people in a struggling marriage to a new vacation house. I’m 44 and me and my husband have been together 31 years and married for 23 years as of last week. We raised 3 kid’s our oldest is 27 our middle child will be 22 next month and our youngest is 19. We don’t drink or any of that nonsense. We do not go out to bars at all. We’ve never done that. N if we went out we went out together. We are still best friends we always have each other’s back we both raised our kids we both cooked n cleaned and went shopping together. We just did it. We were and are a team. We parented together our children were not just told yes. We discussed it first. U have to be a team and not disrespect each other. We both worked an both took care of the kids n house. I never ever had to tell my husband to make dinner or put the kids to bed or clean. If u see something needs to be done we just did it. But these guys are disrespectful. Not on purpose but they do not pay attention to there wives at all. They don’t even acknowledge them when they are talking to them. That’s crazy. That’s gonna lead to divorce. Love should never be that hard.

You and your hubs married each others best friend. Most people don't do that. They find one thing about the person when they are ready to get married and go with that. Your marriage is awesome. Two people met as kids and grew up together, raised a family, and I even know none of these people remotely have a modicum of what you have. They aren't married to their person as you are, but a concept that validates them.

Didn’t most these couples separated on 90 fiancé? Or just had the same issues and tried to change who they are.
As someone who studies behavioral analysis, I think if they have loyalty the separation can show them what they really want from a relationship and not waste their spouses time in finding a true life long partner or finally appreciate them.
Even altering minor adjustments in their marriage because I’ve been 5 years married and I see potential in this working for people who are not disloyal and it can be like wife swap show. Personally I see positivity in growth and change because your on the journey together.
Sometimes expectations of others can be completely changed once you have them. I don’t think 90 fiancé cast is a good choice.
One thing that makes me sad is every couple changes through marriage but you don’t ever want to push someone to change.
If something bothers you… please speak up to your partner, communication is at fault on both sides of majority of these couples. This is why you stay engaged until you feel a strong bond on every level.
