THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG THAT MY MOTHER SANG TO ME AROUND THE HOUSE WHILE COOKING AND TAKING CARE OF ME.
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH AND RECENTLY FOUND OUT IT WAS CREATED AND RELEASED THE SAME YEAR I WAS BORN 1958.
THIS IS A VERY ENCHANTING LOVE SONG WITH SPIRITUAL PROPERTIES ADDED TO IT.
WHEN I HEAR IT IT AUTOMATICALLY HAS MY FULL ATTENTION AND MAKES ME FEEL THAT LOVE GOES BEYOND TIME, SPACE AND DIMENSION.
ART AND DOTTY ARE TOUCHED BY GOD AND THEIR SINGING VOICES TAKE YOU ON A SHORT JOURNEY OF LOVE THAT LINGERS ON IN YOUR MIND LONG AFTER THE SONG IS FINISHED PLAYING.
I AM 63 NOW AND HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ART AND DOTTY OR THIS SONG. DOES THIS TELL YOU SOMETHING OR WHAT????? I AM ALSO PART FRENCH CREOLE. I OFTEN SING THIS SONG ALOUD TO MYSELF AT HOME. IT IS SHORT AND SWEET FRENCH SONG.
THIS COUPLE IS A LEGEND FOR THIS SONG, "CHANSON D'AMOUR."

Can you imagine a beautiful song like this being played on the radio today? We've become such a tasteless society.
Agent Orange and Blue
Believe it or not there are radio stations that will play this music today. Just have to hunt around for them.

The Heyday of The Great American Songbook was roughly from the Mid 20's to Mid 60's ...... More beautiful timeless songs were composed for Broadway Shows, Movie Musicals & Movie Theme songs & the Popular Music of Radio during the 30's 40's 50's into the 60's Was a Cut Above in Every Sense..... 'Like Chanson D'Amour 'Art & Dotty Todd... 'An Era of Exquisite Music unlikely to ever be repeated'.....

That's me, looking up all the tunes I remember from my childhood. I was just 6 when this song was on the radio (1958)!

+David Maslow I heard this song sometime in the late 50's when I was just a kid. It was a great hit with the teens! The harmonising and the blending of the voices was what struck me the most. Many years later in the early eighties, to my unbounded joy, I stumbled upon the version sung by The Manhattan Transfers. Another great version!! Cheers!

This is the sound of class and elegance - musical culture today is so vulgar and debased (at least most pop music is) - What happened to us?
