He received international acclaim for his performances of the music written by a variety of composers and many regard him as the greatest Chopin interpreter of his time.[1][2] He was described by The New York Times as one of the greatest pianists of the twentieth century.[1] He played in public for eight decades.[3]

@@kumo-kun1831 They're all well known pieces among pianists, in the collection Songs Without Words. Does my aunt and uncle Fred and Ethel know about them? No. But my piano teacher sure does. Also pianist friends. :-)

@@Musicienne-DAB1995 That's my point. You're not a professional musician. You can't be expected to know every Chopin piece. As a test, google this Mazurka and see how many videos are online showing pianists playing this piece.

It's a lovely piece of work with a subtle glow of sorrow. It's a simple structure, but it's hard to touch people's hearts like this, and it's really amazing. It feels like dancing with a weak body.
