"I call the interpreters good talent, the composers geniuses." Arthur Rubinstein. This quote I always kept by my side, because in a world now where a lot of people brag on what they do with classical, the one thing that is true no one will ever surpass the composer. No matter how quickly you learned, no matter how long you've played, you can't become the best or better, Because we are all artists and have different worlds that we create with our sheer soul and passion for what we do.
@rachelzimet8310
That's unfortunate for me. I'm a cellist, I've been getting into composition. Sadly it takes a few more years than you might think to become a genius ;) it might just be me, but I feel like some musicians put in something that I didn't intend but sounds so great, it makes me wish I'd thought of it . . . I might also just be kinda bad at composing . . .
That is an awesome quote though, for musicians who think they're all there is.
It's 2 am right now, this comment makes no sense. So, I'm sorry XD
@MrDaxjack
+Rachel Zimet It's fine. But who says you can't use that melody ? Look at the Paganini that was re done my other composers so many times. Good luck with your composing.
@rachelzimet8310
Yeah I've been stealing a lot of melodies for private work, just trying to learn how they do it. It's so amazing, how well written melodies are so simple, and it's all so logical everything fits perfectly into place.
@TheTaimory1
How are written melodies simple? The etudes are extremely challenging. When you study the Etudes, you truly see the genius of Chopin, it is nearly impossible to understand it completely.
@richardburt9812
nicely put.

As soon as this piece started , I got goosebumps and and the music just sliced through my soul. I love this so much, I just hope that the whole world should just listen to this song and forget about fighting and war, when there could be so much peace and happiness. I am also totally obsessed with classical music, it was amusing in my music class at school the other day, when the teacher asked what everyone's favourite genre of music was, everyone was saying pop or whatever, and then there was me. The one thing that confuses me is how people can find classical music boring?! How!!
@TimCizej137
Same.
@yuzu54o
I think they just not old enough to understand such a masterpiece of music ...

Yes, I just don`t understand, why Chopin let that melody go, adding so much foreign elements, and, finally, killing it.
