Howdy from Charlotte, North Carolina, where Arthur Smith still presently lives. He's now a senior gentleman who teaches Bible study for adults, over 65, at Calvary Church on Hwy 51. Back in the 1970's he did local commercials for Twin Pet Dog Food; in the 1980's-1990's, he and his wife Doris sang commercial gingles for Griffin Motor Company that sold Pontiacs and Buicks. His local musical TV show was famous in this area for decades. He's still performing when he can. Thanks for your video!

@AmericanaSam Thanks so much for the info! I would love to find those old shows on tape.

999manman

@AmericanaSam I loved his show back in the day! How can I contact him? Any of the old shows available on tape or DVD?

@999manman Try Arthur Smith Music on the web. Google Arthur Smith Facebook. He should be about the third link. On Facebook it says: Arthur had a stroke about a month ago. He spent some time in the hospital and then in a rehabilitation center. He is home now and very thankful to be there with his wife Dorothy. For those of you that knew, thank you for the prayers. Also, Arthur is now on Twitter. You can find him by searching @arthursmithAS. I believe this posting was from 2009. Your welcome
