My Dad graduated High School just in time to go to WWII. He's long gone now, but one question I did think to ask him was "What was your favorite song?" His answer was "Stardust by Artie Shaw".

@meandmymonkey5137

So many people recorded it because it may just be the best song of the jazz era

My Dad the same

@JC111WPB

That song had a lot of meaning and held a lot of memories for those young people at that time.

Shaw's solo is beyond genius. And, man, he knew it.

What a time, such class and heart in this music. It's amazing to think of 80+ year olds of today were once teens wanting to dance with our grandmas.

People may pass, but this music truly is forever.

We will be their age someday, too.
Everyone was young before.

No matter how many times I hear it, I love this recording. Thank you Artie, Billy, Jack, and all the rest of the musicians who did this.
