Arven was founded in 2006 by guitarist and songwriter Anastasia Schmidt. Looking for female musicians, keyboard player Lena Yatsula and guitarist Ines Thomé joined the band. For the vocals, the classically trained Carina Hanselmann was added. In May 2009, bassist Lisa Marie Geiss replaced Eve Kreuzer. As the only man of the sextet, drummer Till Felden joined the band.
In 2011, Arven signed a record contract with Massacre Records. Their debut album, Music of Light, was published on 30 September 2011.[1] The album was mastered by Sascha Paeth and Michael Rodenberg. The album cover was designed by Jan Yrlund. The second album Black is the Colour was released on 23 August 2013.[2]
In 2015, Arven announced in their official website that they have officially disbanded due to musical differences and difficulties finding a replacement for the guitarist Ines Thomé, who left the band.[3]
World Of Hatred
Arven Lyrics

Broken bodies, broken souls
Wars are raging for all times
Darkness creeps inside your heart
Look around you now
And tell me just what you see
People are living in darkness
Their eyes aren't alive any more
You can reach no one's soul
Is this the end?
What's this for?
No one can hear
Screams behind the door
Fallen angel, oh hear my prayer
World has become, world has become hell
All alone now, let me die here
The enemy waits right behind you
Look around you now
And tell me just what you see
People are living in darkness
Look around you
Their eyes aren't alive any more
You can reach no one's soul
Is this the end?
What's this for?
No one can hear
Screams behind the door
Is this the end?
What's this for?
No one can hear
Screams behind the door
Look around you now
And tell me just what you see
People are living in darkness
Look around you
Their eyes aren't alive any more
You can reach no one's soul
Is this the end?
What's this for?
No one can hear
Screams behind the door
Is this the end?
What's this for?
No one can hear
Screams behind the door
The lyrics to Arven's song "World of Hatred" express a deep sense of despair and hopelessness over the state of the world. The opening line sets the tone for the rest of the song, with the singer lamenting the pervasive hatred that seems to infect every aspect of society. The chorus repeats the idea that people are living in darkness and their souls are deadened by the weight of their circumstances.
The verses describe the horrors of war and the toll it takes on individuals, both physically and spiritually. The line "Darkness creeps inside your heart" suggests that the darkness of the world can seep into even the most innocent of hearts, corrupting them and robbing them of their light.
The repeated lines of the chorus ask a rhetorical question, challenging the listener to look around and see the darkness for themselves. The final stanza introduces the idea of a "fallen angel" and asks for divine intervention to save the world from the hell it has become.
Overall, the song is a powerful critique of the state of the world and an appeal for change.
