Durval Lelys, band leader, is the face of Asa de Águia. His irreverence made him a figure quite charismatic, knowing how to rock the public like no one else. Leví Pereira is a very experienced bassist and vocalist, a musician of great personality, and is also a composer. He began his career at age 16, bringing all the knowledge of years of work with Armandinho and the whole family of unforgettable Osmar Macedo.
Leading the heartbeat rhythm of drums of Asa de Águia is Rady Santos. A known musician in Bahia and with a beat full of energy, he commands with strong hands the band marking. He began his career playing in dancing balls at the age 16 in Barrocas (BA), his home town. Besides drums, Rady is also a songwriter and sings in performances of Asa.
A Uruguayan player of keyboard, Ricardo Ferraro came to Brazil in January 1987 to visit the beaches of Bahia. He fell in love with the place and decided to stay in the land, where he met Durval Lelys who invited him to join the group. Currently, the musician is on solo career as DJ Rambo.
Ubajara Carvalho is the drummer of the band. He also came from the school of Dodô and Osmar, and he was invited by Durval and Levi to join Asa de Águia. Bajara is also a composer and has some successful partnerships with Luiz Caldas, Durval Lelys, Carlinhos Brown and David Sersan.

Timbalada é voz do sopro
Todo mundo é louco
Todo mundo é louco
Ai carminha
Ai carminha
Todo mundo é louco
Todo mundo é louco
Cadê joão sumiu
Cadê dibinho tá lá
Cadê seu dão sei não
Ai carminha
Ai carminha
Todo mundo é louco
Todo mundo é louco
O sono tá profundo
Chama tereza
Zeca costurou o amor
Tá uma beleza
Mamãe me deu paixão
Mamãe me deu razão
Mamãe frozina
Mora no meu coração
Como é que é?
The song "Carminha" by Asa de Águia is a fun, upbeat song that talks about the craziness of life and how everyone seems to be a little bit crazy. The chorus repeats the phrase "Todo mundo é louco" (everyone is crazy) several times, emphasizing the idea that everyone is just a little bit off-kilter. The song also mentions several people by name, such as Gerônimo (a famous Brazilian singer) and Tereza, who is asked to wake someone up from a deep sleep. The verses are a little harder to decipher, as they seem to jump from person to person and topic to topic without a clear narrative thread. However, there are mentions of missing people (João, Jajá, Dibinho), an unnamed person who sewed love together (presumably Zeca, as he is mentioned earlier in the song as being part of the band Timbalada), and a mother named Frozina who lives in the singer's heart.
One interesting aspect of this song is that it is heavily influenced by the music and culture of Bahia, a state in northeastern Brazil. Asa de Águia is one of the most famous bands from Bahia and is known for their energetic performances and fusion of various musical styles. The band was formed in 1987 and has released over 20 albums, becoming one of the most popular groups in Brazil in the 1990s and 2000s.
Another interesting fact about "Carminha" is that it was released in 2007, but the style of music and lyrics hark back to an earlier era. The song has a very nostalgic feel to it, with references to Gerônimo and other musicians from the 1980s and 1990s. It also has a very carefree and playful tone, which is in keeping with the overall theme of "everyone is crazy."
