Pra gente ficar numa boa
Chegue pra cá chegue pra cá
Eu vou lhe ensinar
Com quantos paus se faz uma canôa (bis)
Amor amor
O que você quiser de mim eu dou (bis)
Aonde você for
Eu também quero ir
Eu tô contigo e não vou abrir ( bis )
The song "Chegue Pra Cá" by Asa de Águia is a joyful invitation to a love affair. The lyrics communicate the excitement of two people discovering mutual attraction and the desire to take things further. The first two lines reveal that the singer has been told that the person they're addressing wants to be in a relationship with them. However, instead of playing coy, the singer reciprocates their feelings and says they wanting them too. The repeated lines of "também te quero muito" reinforces this desire.
The chorus of the song is an invitation for the person to come closer, to join the singer and enjoy a good time together. The repetition of "chegue pra cá" emphasizes the eagerness of the singer to connect physically with the object of their affections. The singer uses a playful metaphor when they say "com quantos paus se faz uma canôa," which roughly translates to "with how many sticks can a boat be made." This is meant to convey the idea that they have the tools, skills, and willingness to make the relationship work and be successful.
Overall, "Chegue Pra Cá" is a fun, light-hearted celebration of romantic attraction and the desire to connect with someone on a deeper level.
