I have sold many to the upper NorthEast states, and they grow excellent, many of my buyers (now friends) send pics. They just bring them inside for a few months. great collection!!! IM hoping to start mine right now. They are germinating in a container covered with a ziplock. I noticed the top soil looks dry. Should I open and mist or leave it how it is?

+LAKED801OUT Hello, sorry I didn't catch your comment earlier. I am pretty new to YouTube, and didn't get a notice of your question. Misting is okay, but the soil shouldn't have dried out if the bag was sealed. Sometimes I use a larger pot, and rubberband a ziplock over the top, but the soil can dry out if there are holes at the bottom of the pot. Best to use like a 4" pot so it can be placed entirely inside the ziplock bag. Hope that helps, and that your seedlings are growing. Keith

I work at Van Buren and 44th st, (Not as a hooker LOL). Perhaps we could meet some evening around 730pm. I would need like 5 days to make some cuts and allow them to heal. Got some good news for you Keith! The 6 Cholla, 4 have new additions growing out of them! The San Pedro...at least another inch bigger all round already. The Toothpick cactus about the same, but alive and no harm done in customs all that time and the Saguaro is okay, no bigger, but doing ok. The Occoldof stems, one survived, but will leave them all in the pot, just in case they are slow to take. The Cardon, still the same size, but might have a spurt next summer. So as you can see, done well considering the hard journey here. Not seen many videos from you as of late, hope you are keeping well. Will try to call you one day for a little chat. He Steve, Great to hear from you! I was recovering form my shoulder surgery, and then about a month ago I was hit from behind in a car accident. Guy never even slowed down. I had a mild concussion, and whiplash. Of course he had no insurance, but mine will cover it. Glad your plants are doing okay. The toothpick cactus and the cardone are very fast growers. I'll be posting new videos within the week. Almost no rain in 6 months here. Have a great day, Keith

Can I please ask why my San Pedros have different lengths of spines, some of them have very long spines about an inch or more while some have medium spines a few centimeters long while some have very short spines. Colours range from light green to dark green to blueish green. And some are quite thin too like the bridghesci while many look like the classic San pedro. They nearly all have the v notch above the spines. I'm in Europe and bought them online from cactus specialists in Germany and Holland so I'm quite sure they are not the PC type.

@Dan Kennedy Good observation. I think that's one of the mostrose variety, ribbed sides. I like to mix cuttings and put them in the same pot, or spot in the ground together. These were cut from different plants. Thanks for watching Dan!

I am doing a lot of grafting lately, and will produce many plants that are half one species, and half another. Kinda fun doing cacti surgery, and having them turn out well. Keith

Hi, from my experience, Bridgesii grow slower, are thinner, and less vigorous growers, which sometimes fall over. Grafting them make them tougher. My experience only. Thanks, Keith

massively miniscule Peruvian torch, San Pedro, peyote, and a couple other ones You can't go wrong with San Pedro if prepared right it's like LSD but more relaxing and it's impossible to have a bad trip it's a very natural trip lots of Kaleidoscope
morphing/breathing
and swirling
amazing patterns moving in abstract style
you will love it.
