The lyrics of the song "Ammi Mera Baap Bada Dilwala" by Asha Bhosle revolve around celebrating and praising the singer's father and mother. The repeated phrases "Ammi o mami mera baap bada dilwala" emphasize the love and admiration the singer has for their parents. The mention of a "bada dilwala" father highlights the father's kind and loving nature.
The lyrics also touch upon childhood memories and playful imagery, as the singer reminisces about being given a flying swing ("udan khatola") by their father. The reference to Lord Krishna's flute ("Shyam ji ki gaayiyan") and Radha's swing adds a cultural and whimsical element to the song. The playful and innocent imagery conveys a sense of joy and nostalgia.

The father's loving gestures, such as lifting the singer with love and constantly kissing them, symbolize a deep bond and closeness between them. The repeated lines about revolving and dancing ("jhoom jhoom jhume jaaye") suggest a carefree and joyful connection between the two.
Additionally, the lyrics portray the father as a figure of strength and authority, with references to his intimidating presence and reputation ("sabse taqat wala"). Despite his powerful demeanor, the father is also depicted as a caring and loving individual, as emphasized by the repeated assertion that he is a "bada dilwala." Overall, the song celebrates the parental figures in the singer's life, highlighting their love, support, and larger-than-life personas.
