For the last decade, she has been involved in a deeply personal exploration of sound healing and vocal toning, during which period she discovered and began playing quartz crystal singing bowls, instruments that are often used in contemplative practices to support healing, balance and well-being.
“For me, singing is a life path, a spiritual journey that has led to the very core of my being,” says Ashana. “Music can transport us, lift us to the place where we gently let go and open completely to receive and remember the divine heart that lives within each one of us, that truly lives in all beings. I have seen, felt and been utterly transformed by the power of sound and music to heal; it is a gift to us from the Source of Love – it is total, pure Grace.”

From the One beyond the stars

We behold the gift of peace
Loving kindness for all beings
From the One beyond the stars
Through the darkness into light
In "Loving Kindness," Ashana celebrates the idea of compassion for all creatures, and she conveys the notion that this sentiment comes from a divine source. She expresses an intricate spiritual belief that there is a higher power that provides us the means to ensure that peace is available to everyone. Ashana's musicality is deeply hypnotic in this song, with its soothing and mellow flute sounds adding some sense of calmness to the overall mood of the anthem. The repetition of the first two verses underscores the message that peace and kindness are essential both in darkness and in light.
