We interrupt This Program Of the Beautiful World Of Ashanti
Chapter 2
To Bring You To The Streets
According To Black Child

[Black Child Rapping To The End...]

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Ashanti's song "Black Child" are a powerful commentary on the harsh realities of life on the streets. The opening lines, "We interrupt this program of the beautiful world of Ashanti" serve as a warning that the content of the song is going to be very different from what the listener might otherwise expect from the artist. The song instead takes a raw, unflinching look at the violence, poverty, and struggles faced by those living in urban neighborhoods.

As Black Child begins to rap, he describes the streets as a place where people are forced to do whatever it takes to survive. He talks about the desperation of those who are struggling to scrape together enough money to pay the bills and support their families. He also touches on the issue of police brutality, a problem that continues to plague communities of color to this day.

Ultimately, the lyrics of "Black Child" paint a complex portrait of life in inner-city neighborhoods. They show that while there is hardship and pain present, there is also resilience and determination. The people who live in these communities are survivors, and they deserve to have their voices heard and their stories told.

She has a unique beauty. Always looking so sweet but so hood at the same time and yet still feminine. Plus she's very stylish, with a nice body and voice. Not that I'm fangirling over her but she is a PERFECTION lol :)
